ColdFusion is a Java application and can be deployed to any J2EE server as an Enterprise Application Archive (EAR) or a Web Application Archive (WAR) file. Similarly, applications you create can also be deployed in this manner. J2EE archive packaging is managed from the J2EE Archives page. When deploying to environments that are compliant with J2EE standards, or into an existing Java environment with other applications, J2EE deployments preferred over ColdFusion Archives.
